Was cycling to work from my school that day when I suddenly noticed these doggies under the fly-over bridge at Bhadrakali. There were like 15 of these, for some reason I couldn't think of.

flying kite against the gorgeousness ...
Today evening, WE reached on top of some hill near Chhampi, Lalitpur District. These little kids were flying kites against the gorgeous looking golden sky.

This was during the celebration of Indra Jatra today at Basantapur, Kathmandu. The guy's playing Bhushya and the girl's playing dhime.

Pasang Lhamu Highway, Rasuwa.
overloaded ...
Children carrying LP Gas cylinders on their backs, one of whom, is bare footed. They were bringing those cylinder to trucks waiting on this side of the landslide. The landslide destroyed about 200m section of the Pasang Lhamu Highway, and people were forced to manually transport goods across the section on a dangerously narrow makeshift path. Although the landslide occurred about 3 months ago, there is no sign of the road being repaired yet.
About 15 kms before Dhunche, Rasuwa District.
By the way, it got published in Nagarik Daily, August 31st. :). Hope people get the message.

Came across the photograph today while I was browsing through the folders in my recently recovered hard drive. The photo is more than a year old and shot in Basantapur. I remember I had to wait for them to take 2-3 turns back and forth the pavement to get this picture. hehe. :). I love smiling people.
